Why return windows are easy to miss
Different clocks
Amazon’s usual window is ~30 days from delivery. Walmart and Target often give 90. Best Buy is often 15. Costco is open-ended for most goods — but electronics have 90 days.
Category traps
Phones, Apple gear, major appliances, and Marketplace items frequently have shorter windows or restocking fees. Holiday extensions change the math again.
Receipts vanish
Email confirmations get buried. Paper receipts fade. When you finally decide to return something, the deadline may already have passed.
Return deadline calculator
Pick a store, purchase/receipt date, and category for a simplified estimate. Always confirm on your order page and the retailer’s official policy.
